Coming up: Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 6th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Holston Mountain Artisans’ annual Sawdust Festival takes place on the last Saturday in July during Abingdon’s Virginia Highlands Festival, along with the Wolf Hills Quilt Guild’s annual Quilt Show. Woodworkers are showing their talents at turning, scrolling, and carving, and other members join in to demonstrate their crafts. The quilting ladies exhibit dozens of their fine bed quilts, wall hangings, and clothing.
In October, delicious apple butter is stirred off in the traditional way in a copper kettle over a wood fire and sweet and tangy apple cider pours out of the apple press, while members display their crafts.
All visitors are welcome to come and meet our talented folks!
